Richard Feyman Quotations

“It doesn't matter how beautiful your theory is, it doesn't matter how smart you are. If it doesn't agree with the experiment, it's wrong”

“Our imagination is stretched to the utmost, not, as in fiction, to imagine things which are not really there, but just to comprehend those things which 'are' there.”

Developmental Behaviourial Modelling DBM

"We are all modellers in a naturalistic way. We all have our models and our own way of building them. What if we understood more about these models and how we build them and developed new, more effective ways to change them? This would involve product, process and principle. This has been the aim of DBM."

John McWhirter - Creator & Developer of DBM

NLP Training, NLP Questions to Select an NLP trainer

NLP Training is now widespread and there are now hundreds of NLP training companies to select from. In the early days of the late 80s there was only a handful of NLP trainers to select from. So what questions might help select a trainer and get the best training for you? Some people argue that NLP has been focused on the commercialisation of the product rather than the development of the model. The modelling technology has not been applied to itself.

The questions really start with what you want from an NLP training? These questions can be adapted for any type of training.

  1. What is it you want from the NLP training?
    1. What are your outcomes from an NLP training?
    2. What and how do you want to develop?
    3. How will you know when you have these changes?
    4. How will you know you have made a wise investment in NLP, time, money, opportunity?
    5. Why have you selected NLP as the means to obtain a solution?
    6. What is the experience of the NLP trainers? Who did they train with and what have they modelled using NLP?
    7. Is there anything unique about that particular NLP training?
    8. Does the NLP training selected incorporate the individual needs of each participant?
    9. What makes them different from other NLP training companies?
    10. What are the values of the NLP training company and the NLP trainers?
    11. What is the style/format of the NLP training?
    12. What are the class sizes and trainer/assistant ratios?
    13. What does the training company promise and how do you know it will deliver?
    14. What does the NLP training company specialise in?
    15. What is the support after the main training is over?

So these are the questions to ask a few training companies. Try and sample first if you can! Dont sign up until you have a feel for a number of organisations and what might best suit your own personal development.

Systemic Business Modelling
Many consultancies offer fixed prescribed solutions for a variety of organisations. Business Modelling uses a process with no fixed assumptions but takes each organisation as unique in terms of its requirements and the potential solutions available.

One of key aspects of systemic consultancy is the dynamic relationship between the organisation, its management and the consultant engaged.
